Microaggressions really impacts the media

Microaggression is a theory that hypothesizes that specific interactions between those of different race, culture or gender. Microaggressions impacts many topics in our community such as the Media, Daily races experiences and the customs and tradition.

The media impacts our society by making us look up to them for a role model figure which should be our parents. In the article "The myth of the Latina woman" by Judith Ortiz Cofer; she talks about how hard it is to be a Latin woman. As young girls, they are influenced in their decisions about clothes and colors by the older woman on television; making them believe that they aren't as beautiful as them.
In our everyday lives we all have experiences some type of microaggressions. Racial microaggressions are the belief  and everyday slights, insults, indignities. Studies support the fact that people of color frequently experience microaggressions that is a continuing reality in their day to day interactions with friends, neighbors, co-workers , teachers plus employers in academic, social and public setting.
In conclusion, i think we all should stick with the race and identity god provided for us. So what if your colored or speak another language; just appreciate the gift of life and just enjoy being yourself; don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
